Manager-only functions
On mobile, a manager has additional screens to act in an emergency: create a shift, submit a Dimona and track the day's clockings.
The Shyfter Staff app adapts to your role. A collaborator finds their schedule, their clockings and their requests. A manager, on the other hand, also sees a series of screens to run their team from the field, without having to open the web platform. These screens only appear if your access level allows it: if you do not see them, the corresponding right is not enabled on your profile.
These functions are designed for emergencies and on-site management. Here are the main ones.
Create a shift in an emergency
When extra help is needed or an unexpected event disrupts the schedule, a manager can create a shift directly from their phone. The creation screen covers the essentials: the account, the section, the collaborator (the app suggests those who are available and qualified), the skill, the resources, the break, a comment, the date and hours, as well as whether or not to send a notification. An existing shift can also be modified or deleted the same way.
If the shift conflicts with a constraint (rest, availability, working time), the app flags it and offers to force the creation with full awareness.
Create a Dimona in an emergency
In Belgium, a worker must be declared to the NSSO before starting their shift. When an extra arrives at the last minute, a manager can send a Dimona from the app, without waiting to be in front of a computer. The screen asks for the account, the collaborator and the worker type (for example extra, student, flexi or ordinary worker), then the information specific to that type (dates, hours, etc.). The collaborator is thus covered immediately.
See who clocked in today
The Dashboard screen gives the manager a real-time view of the team: the day's shifts and the time each person clocked. A map icon shows the geolocation of the clockings, useful to check arrivals on one or several sites. You can thus track, on the spot, who is present and who is missing.
Prepare for tomorrow
The menu also offers a preview of tomorrow's schedule: the manager sees tomorrow's roster at a glance and spots, for example, the shifts that still need a Dimona. Handy for planning ahead before leaving their post.
All these functions depend on your access level and the modules enabled (schedule, Dimona, etc.). Fine-tuning roles is done from the web platform: see the article on access levels.
