Clocking with Shyfter Staff
Check in and check out, clock a break and view your clocking history from your phone.
Clocking from your phone
Shyfter Staff lets each collaborator clock their hours directly from their smartphone, without going through a tablet. Mobile clocking must first be authorised on the web platform (choice of the clocking app per collaborator). Geolocation can be associated with the clocking to verify the check-in location.
Checking in
On the home screen, the next shift (or the ongoing shift) is displayed. To start clocking, tap Check-in in the Next shift or Ongoing shift block. The latter is useful in particular when a collaborator forgot to clock at the start of their service.
Clocking a break
During the service, tap Break to start a break. When resuming, tap End break to close it. The break time is thus deducted from the working time.
Checking out
At the end of the service, tap Check-out to close the clocking. The end time is recorded and the complete clocking is sent to the platform, where the manager can review and validate it.
The free check-in
Some accounts allow free check-in: the collaborator can clock in even without a previously scheduled shift. This possibility depends on the account configuration and appears on the home screen when it is enabled.
Viewing your clockings
To find the history of your clockings, tap the round icon (profile picture) at the top right of the screen. There you first find your personal information, then the history of your past clockings.
A clocking made from mobile is recognisable on the manager side by its source. In the timesheet control reports, you can distinguish clockings made on mobile, on tablet, or added manually.
