Deactivated employees
Find, view and reactivate employees who have left your team without losing their schedule and clocking history.
Why do deactivated employees stay in Shyfter?
When an employee leaves the company, you deactivate them rather than delete them. This preserves all their history: past shifts, clockings, performance sheets, signed documents. This data may be needed in case of an inspection or to draw up a C4.
A deactivated employee no longer appears in the schedules or in the active team list, but remains viewable.
Accessing the list of deactivated employees
Two paths are possible:
Via the settings Go to Settings ⚙️ → General → Deactivated users.
Via the Team menu In the Team → Users menu, click the Deactivated tab or filter.
The list shows each deactivated employee with their First name, Last name and Email, along with a reactivation action at the end of the row.
Reactivating an employee
If an employee returns to the team, there is no need to recreate them from scratch.
- Find the employee in the list of deactivated users.
- Use the reactivation action on their row (or open their profile, Profile → Profile data tab, and click the reactivation icon).
The employee recovers their full profile, their history, and can be rescheduled immediately.
After reactivation, check that their user status and access rights are still correct, especially if their working conditions have changed.
