Create and publish a job offer
The three steps of creating an advert, the required fields, and going live.
A job offer is the starting point of the whole module: it carries your public advert, its share link and its QR code. This article details each step of creating it and putting it online.
Create the job
Go to Team → Recruitment → Job offers, then click New job. Creation happens in three steps, which you go through with Next and Back.
Step 1: Basics
- Language (required): the language in which you write the advert. It is the language in which it will be published.
- Title (required): the job title, as it will appear on your public page.
- Employment types (required): one or more among Full-time, Part-time, Intern, Seasonal, Student, Flexi and Freelance. This choice determines what a candidate can select when applying, so tick everything that suits you.
- Work mode: On-site, Hybrid or Remote.
- Job owners: the people who will receive the emails for this job, namely new applications, trials and confirmed interviews. Pick one or more.
Step 2: Description
Five blocks of text, each with a formatting editor:
- Introduction: introduce the venue and the team in two or three sentences.
- Tasks: what this person will do day to day.
- Requirements: experience, languages, must-have availability.
- Benefits: meal vouchers, travel, training, stable hours.
- In conclusion: one sentence inviting them to apply.
Step 3: Compensation and schedule
- Salary min and Salary max
- Currency
These fields are optional. Left empty, they do not appear on the public advert.
Save, then publish
Finish with Save. The job is created as a Draft and you land on its record. A draft is visible to nobody.
On the job record, click Publish. Shyfter asks you to confirm: "Publish this job? It will become visible on the public careers page." Confirm.
The job then moves to Published:
- it appears on your public company page;
- its public link becomes active, the View the job button opens it in a new tab;
- its QR code switches on.
As long as the job is not published, the record shows "Job not published" and the QR stays inactive.
One job, one language
Each job is written in a single language, the one chosen at step 1. To recruit in two languages for the same role, create two jobs.
Your company page, on the other hand, is translated into all four languages: see Set up your public company page.
