Payroll reports (France)
Set up your French payroll rules, automatically generate the monthly reports and export them in Excel to your accountant or payroll software.
Payroll reports are a feature dedicated to French establishments. They let you generate a summary document of hours and absences each month, ready to be transmitted to your accountant or imported into your payroll software. The reports are created automatically month by month: no repetitive manual entry.
Step 1: set up your payroll reports
Before you can generate reports, a few settings are needed in your account settings.
Go to Settings → HR → Payroll reports.
Configuring the specific rules
Define your calculation rules. They will automatically adapt to your collective bargaining agreement if it is entered in the HR settings.
Defining the absences
Check that each type of absence is correctly identified (sick leave, paid leave, RTT, etc.). A mistyped absence can lead to errors in the payroll report.
Step 2: access the payroll reports
Go to Reports → Payroll reports.
Shyfter automatically generates one report per month. You do not have to create them manually. From this table, you can:
- View the existing reports.
- Create new ones with custom parameters.
- Edit or delete existing reports.
Creating a new payroll report
If you need a report over a specific period or with particular parameters, click Create a new payroll report and configure it.
Choosing the calculation method
Two methods are available:
- Smoothed weeks (default): the report covers exactly the dates of the calendar month. Example for March: from 1 to 31 March.
- Full weeks: the report spans whole weeks (Monday to Sunday). Example for March: from 26 February to 31 March (5 full weeks). This method is useful if your payroll is calculated on whole weeks rather than calendar months.
Step 3: export the report
From the reports table, click View the payroll report to view it in detail, then Export.
Shyfter generates an Excel file that you can send directly to your accountant or import into your payroll software.
And for SILAE?
If you use the SILAE payroll software, Shyfter goes further than a simple Excel: you first map each payroll element (hours, meals, leave, bonuses) to the corresponding SILAE code, so that the export is directly usable in SILAE. This setup is done in the France payroll report settings (see the article "France payroll report settings and SILAE codes").
More broadly, Shyfter is connected to the main payroll players: depending on the partner, transmission is done via a file that you retrieve, or via a direct connection that sends the data without any file handling.
