Create a Dimona

Declare a worker to the ONSS from Shyfter: the different entry points, the supported worker types (OTH, STU, FLX, EXT, A17, and so on) and their constraints.

Shyfter is connected to the ONSS and sends your Dimona declarations directly from the platform. You can create a Dimona in several ways, and depending on the worker type, the information requested changes. This article covers both aspects.

Where to create a Dimona

  • From the schedule grid: spot a flagged shift (Dimona missing), then right-click → Create a Dimona. The fastest way to sort things out before a shift.
  • From the Dimona declarations: in Documents → Dimona declarations, click New declaration. Ideal for a long period (permanent contract, fixed-term contract of several months).
  • From the Dimona check: select several shifts without a Dimona and send the declarations in bulk.
  • When creating a contract: if the team member is eligible, a Create a Dimona box lets you declare at the same time as the contract.

Choosing the worker type

When creating, the Worker type field is required. It is this field that determines the information to provide. Shyfter supports the ONSS types; here are the most common ones and their constraints.

  • OTH (Other, ordinary worker): a standard white-collar or blue-collar worker. You enter a start date and, where applicable, an end date for the period. This is the type that supports the daily declaration (see the dedicated article for horeca).
  • STU (Student): in addition to the period, the number of planned hours is required (it counts against the student's annual quota), as well as the place of work where applicable. Keep an eye on this so as not to exceed the student's hours quota.
  • FLX (Flexi-job): you choose to declare one day or a period, whether it is a white-collar employee or a blue-collar worker, the type (F1/F2) and the start and end times. The team member must be eligible for flexi (employment conditions with another employer).
  • EXT (Extra, occasional horeca): occasional/seasonal worker. The declaration is made on a daily basis, with a flat rate (daily or hourly) and the start and end times communicated.
  • A17 (Article 17): associative work (youth leader, instructor, sports supervision, and so on), with a start date; an annual hours quota applies. Variants (S17, O17) additionally require a number of hours.

Other, more specific types exist and are supported depending on the case: BCW (construction), STG (internship), IVT (individual professional training), TRI (transition internship), TEA (teacher), DWD, ALT, and so on. If you are unsure which one to choose, your social secretariat will tell you the type corresponding to the contract.

Sending

Once the type is chosen and the fields completed, confirm to send the declaration to the ONSS. The Dimona then appears in Documents → Dimona declarations with its status.

For the creation to succeed, the team member's profile must be set up correctly (NISS, Dimona eligibility, status). The detailed conditions are described in the article "Conditions for creating a Dimona". Some types (student, flexi, article 17, and so on) can also be declared automatically by Shyfter if automation is enabled.
