The schedule is the heart of the app for a collaborator. It shows when you work, where, with whom, and what is expected during the shift. Everything is available on your phone, updated in real time as soon as the manager publishes or changes the schedule.

The monthly calendar

The Calendar tab (navigation bar at the bottom) shows your month. Under each date, small coloured dots sum up your day:

  • green: a shift is assigned to you;
  • grey: an open shift is available that day;
  • red: a leave or absence day;
  • blue: a day comment published by your manager.

Tap a date to display the shift or shifts for that day, along with any comments. The calendar updates automatically with every schedule change.

The details of a shift

Tap a shift to open its full details. There you find:

  • the date, the hours, the duration and the planned break;
  • the establishment and its address (tapping the address opens directions in Maps or Google Maps);
  • the section, the skills, the attributes and the tags attached to the shift;
  • the comment left by the manager and the tasks to complete;
  • your colleagues working the same time slot;
  • the status of any modification or swap request in progress.

Depending on your company's configuration, actions may appear on this screen: request a shift modification, clock your arrival (check-in) on the day, claim an open shift, or offer a swap to a colleague.

Planning ahead for today and tomorrow

From the home screen, the app highlights your next shift, so you can see at a glance when you are back on. The menu also offers a view of tomorrow's schedule, handy for preparing your day the evening before.

Exporting your schedule to your calendar

From the calendar, the export icon at the top of the screen lets you get a calendar link (iCal). You can then sync your Shyfter shifts with your phone's calendar: on iPhone, a link per establishment is offered; on Android, the links are sent to you by email.

If you do not see an expected shift, check that your manager has actually published the schedule: until a schedule is published, it does not appear in the app.
