Setting the start and end time for turnover import
Define the time window used to automatically import your turnover from your connected POS and management software.
If you have connected a point of sale system or management software to Shyfter, your turnover is imported automatically every day. By default, this import covers a full calendar day, from midnight to midnight. If your business runs past midnight (bar, restaurant, nightclub...), you can set a custom time window so that late sales are attached to the correct business day.
Where to find this setting
Go to Settings > Performance > Settings. You will find the section dedicated to turnover recording, with two fields:
- Turnover import start time
- Turnover import end time
These two settings sit just below the option to import turnover excluding VAT.
The fields
Turnover import start time Marks the start of the daily time window used during import. Only sales recorded from this time onward are imported.
Turnover import end time Marks the end of that same time window. Only sales recorded up to this time are imported.
Both fields are set in 15-minute increments. You can clear a field at any time to remove the restriction.
How the time window works
If the end time is earlier than or equal to the start time, Shyfter understands that your business day ends the next day and automatically extends the window accordingly. This is the typical case for a venue open in the evening: with a start of 06:00 and an end of 02:00, all sales made between 6 AM and 2 AM the following day are counted in the turnover of the same day.
This setting only applies if both times are filled in. If only one field is filled in, or if both are left empty, Shyfter ignores the restriction and imports the full calendar day.
Saving
Once you have chosen your times, click Save at the bottom of the page to apply the change to the next imports.
