Shyfter Drive: managing your team members' documents

Shyfter Drive is the centralized space to store, organize, secure and share all documents linked to your team members.

What is Shyfter Drive?

Shyfter Drive is a true document storage space, a bit like Google Drive, but integrated into Shyfter and attached to each team member. It replaces paper folders and email sending by centralizing all important documents (contracts, payslips, certificates...) in one place, in organized folders.

It is accessible both from the web and from the Shyfter Staff mobile app: the team member finds the documents you've shared with them directly on their phone, without having to dig through their emails. You can also secure a sensitive document so that it can only be viewed after an extra verification, and share or revoke access to each file in one click (see below).

Where to find Shyfter Drive?

Go to Team → Users → [Team member's name] → Shyfter Drive tab.

The five available folders

Shyfter Drive automatically organizes documents into five folders:

Secured

Groups all files protected by two-factor authentication via SMS. It's the ideal place for sensitive documents that you want to make accessible in a secure way.

Payslips

Folder dedicated to payslips. Payslips are automatically secured on import and cannot be unsecured or shared, for confidentiality reasons.

Contracts

Store permanent contracts, fixed-term contracts, amendments and any contractual document here. Stored securely, accessible at any time.

Documents

Certificates, attestations, supporting documents or internal documents. Everything concerning the team member that doesn't fit into the previous categories.

Other

A flexible space for all other files.

Add a document

From any folder, click Upload to select one or more files from your computer. Shyfter automatically sorts them into the right folder according to their type.

Secure a document

A secured file is marked with a padlock and placed in the "Secured" folder. To secure or unsecure a file, open the actions menu (three dots) next to the file and choose Secure or Unsecure.

  • Red padlock: file secured in "Secured" or "Payslips".
  • Light gray padlock: file secured in "Other".

Payslips are automatically secured and cannot be unsecured.

Share a document with the team member

To make a document accessible to the team member on their mobile app, open the actions menu and choose Share. The file is then marked with a share icon. To revoke access, choose Stop sharing.

Payslips cannot be shared.

Other available actions

From each file's actions menu (three dots):

  • Download: retrieve the file to your computer.
  • Rename: change the document's name.
  • Delete: permanent removal after confirmation.

Recent files

At the bottom of the Shyfter Drive page, a Recent files section shows the documents recently viewed or modified. Handy for quickly finding a document without navigating through the folders.
