What is document sharing for?
Beyond the payslips and contracts managed through Shyfter Drive, you can also share custom documents with a specific employee: internal rules, memo, certificate, internal document, and so on. The person accesses them from their mobile app, with no need for an email or a file transfer.
How to share a document
Sharing is done from the employee's individual profile.
- Go to Team → Users and open the employee's profile.
- Click the Documents tab in the profile navigation bar.
- Select the Custom sub-tab.
- Find the document in the list and click Share in the Actions column.
The document's status changes to Shared and the action button becomes Stop sharing, which lets you revoke access at any time.
Where does the employee see their shared documents?
From the Shyfter mobile app:
- Open the More tab.
- Select Other documents.
The list of the documents made available appears with the sharing date. The employee can view them directly from their phone.
What you need to know
- Sharing is individual: you choose precisely who has access to which document.
- Only administrators and HR managers can share documents.
- You can revoke access at any time by clicking Stop sharing.
- Payslips cannot be shared through this tool (they are managed via the dedicated Team → Payslips section).
