What is ranking for?

Ranking is an internal tool that lets managers quickly distinguish profiles when scheduling. A rating of 1 to 5 stars can be given to each employee to indicate their level of experience or autonomy. It does not replace a formal evaluation: it is a quick, private visual aid reserved for managers.

The ratings are never visible to the employees themselves.

Enabling ranking

  1. Go to Settings ⚙️ → HR → Settings.
  2. Enable the option Enable the ranking of your employees.

Once enabled, the star icon appears in the profiles and in the schedule.

Who can see and edit the ratings?

Only administrators, HR managers and schedule managers have access to the ratings. Employees never see their own evaluation.

Where are the ratings visible?

Once ranking is enabled, the stars appear in several places:

  • In the employee list (and in the Excel exports).
  • On the profile of each employee.
  • In the schedule: when selecting an employee to schedule, their rating is displayed. You can also filter to show only the employees with a certain rating.
  • In the Shyft-Market: the stars help quickly choose the right profile for a free shift.

How to give a rating?

Open the employee's profile and click the stars to give the desired rating (from 1 to 5). If no rating has been given, the stars stay empty.

In summary

Ranking is a simple and discreet tool to save time during scheduling. It lets you spot at a glance the most experienced employees or those who benefit from particular support, without any public value judgment.
