Leave, changes and unavailabilities from Shyfter Staff
Send a leave request, request a shift change and enter your unavailabilities from the mobile app.
Three requests, one single place
From Shyfter Staff, the collaborator manages their own requests: leave, shift changes and unavailabilities. These requests are sent to the web platform, where the manager approves or refuses them. This avoids exchanges by message and centralises everything in Shyfter.
Making a leave request
- Open the app and log in.
- From the home screen, tap the Leave request shortcut (person in a doorway icon), or go through the navigation bar at the bottom.
- Complete the request: the leave type, the date (or the period) concerned, and a photo as an attachment if you wish (for example a supporting document).
- Confirm to send the request.
The request then appears on the manager side in the absence requests, ready to be processed.
Requesting a shift change
When a collaborator wants to adjust a shift already scheduled:
- Open the app and access your schedule by tapping the calendar icon.
- Select the shift to change.
- Tap Change.
- Specify the desired changes (hours, date, etc.).
- Submit the request.
The manager finds the request in the change requests and decides whether to approve it or not.
Entering your unavailabilities
Unavailabilities tell the manager the moments when the collaborator cannot work, so as to take them into account when building the schedule.
- Open the Shyfter Staff app.
- On the home screen, tap the Unavailabilities shortcut (cross icon).
- Tap Add.
- Select the dates and times concerned.
- Tap Confirm.
Unavailabilities can be viewed month by month in the app. They do not impose anything on the manager, but help them plan as accurately as possible.
