Claim an open shift and track your applications
See open shifts, apply for them from the app and track the status of your applications in the Shyfts Market.
When your company leaves shifts open (unassigned), you can apply for them directly from the app. This is handy for taking extra hours or replacing a colleague, without exchanging messages. Depending on the configuration, these slots go through open shifts or the Shyfts Market.
Viewing open shifts
The Open shifts screen shows a calendar of open slots. A marker under a date indicates that a shift is available that day. You can filter by section to display only what concerns you. Tap a shift to open its full details (hours, establishment, section, tasks, etc.).
Applying for a shift
From the shift details, a button lets you claim the slot. You can add a comment when you apply (for example to specify your availability). Your request is then sent to the manager.
Tracking your applications (Shyfts Market)
The Shyfts Market screen gathers your applications. They are sorted into two parts:
- Upcoming: your pending or accepted applications, for future shifts.
- History: your past applications, with their status (accepted, refused, not selected, expired or deleted).
As long as an application is pending, you can withdraw it if you turn out not to be available.
Applying for an open shift is not a confirmation: it is your manager who validates the assignment. You are notified as soon as your application is accepted or refused.
