Shyfter POS: clocking tablet settings

Shyfter POS is the tablet clocking app. Installed on a fixed tablet at the entrance of the establishment, it lets your employees clock with their PIN code or by scanning their QR code. This page links the tablet to your account and sets its behaviour. Go to Settings ⚙️ → Clocking → Shyfter POS, then Save after making changes.

Connecting the tablet

• API key: the key that identifies the tablet and links it to your Shyfter account. Copy it and paste it into the Shyfter POS app during its initial setup.
• API key per section: by selecting a section, a specific API key appears. With this key, only the employees of that section are shown on the tablet. Handy if you have one tablet per zone (kitchen, floor...) and want to limit the displayed list.

Customisation

• Customise your POS: customise the logo and colours (background, primary colour, secondary, etc.) of the POS app, to match your branding.

Clocking display

• Show clocking details: employees see the details of their clocking (list of breaks, current action, etc.).
• Show clocking duration: at check-out, the employee sees how long their clocking lasted.

Clocking photos

• Automatically take a photo at clocking: a photo is captured at each clocking, to verify the identity of the person clocking.
• Take photos randomly: rather than every time, the photo is only taken about once in ten. This option is recommended in France, where systematic photo taking is more strictly regulated.

Comment at end of clocking

• Enable comment at end of clocking: employees can leave a comment when they finish their clocking.
• Make the comment mandatory: the end-of-clocking comment becomes required. Useful to systematically collect a note (incident, overrun, etc.).

Employee PIN codes

Each employee has a unique PIN code to clock on the tablet. You find the code in the employee's profile, or download the full list of PIN codes from Settings ⚙️ → Clocking → Settings.
