What are checklists for?

A checklist is a list of tasks to validate during a shift: opening the store, checking stock, cleaning equipment, closing the register, and so on. Your employees check off each item from Shyfter Staff, and you can monitor progress from the web interface.

It is a simple quality-control tool, with no paper forms.

Create a checklist

Go to Settings ⚙️ → Schedules → Checklists.

Click New and give the checklist a name (e.g. "Store opening", "Kitchen check").

Add the list items one by one. For each item, you can indicate whether it is mandatory (the shift cannot be closed until that item is checked off).

Save.

Attach a checklist to a shift

When creating a shift in the schedule, select the checklist to attach. It appears in the employee's shift in Shyfter Staff.

Review completed checklists

Completed checklists can be reviewed in the checklist audit reports, accessible from the Reports menu.

Checklists and tasks are two separate features. Tasks are scheduled time blocks (e.g. register from 8am to 12pm); checklists are lists of actions to tick off at any point during the shift.
