Configure the automatic data exchanges between Shyfter and your other tools: employee import, absence synchronisation, contract updates.

API extension
The API extension lets developers or external tools connect to your Shyfter account securely.
To enable it:
- Go to Settings ⚙️ → Integrations → Marketplace and enable the API extension module.
- You receive an invitation email to access the Shyfter API platform (external.shyfter.app).
- On this platform, create access tokens and invite the team members who need access to it.
Each token is named and can be revoked at any time from Settings ⚙️ → General → External tokens.
Peppol
Peppol is a European network for exchanging electronic invoices. It is particularly used for B2B invoices and public procurement.
Shyfter supports Peppol to let you send and receive invoices in a standardised format, compliant with the growing legal requirements regarding electronic invoicing.
To configure Peppol, go to Settings ⚙️ → Integrations and look for the Peppol section. Fill in your Peppol identifier (PEPPOL ID) to start exchanging invoices over this network.
Peppol is being progressively rolled out in Belgium and Europe. If you handle public procurement or relationships with large companies, ask your accountant about the obligation to use Peppol in your sector.
