The Month view of the schedule
An overview of the month: reading by section, drag-and-drop shift blocks, hour display options, totals columns and split by section.
The Month view displays the schedule over a whole month. It is used to step back: visualise the distribution of work, spot absences and imbalances, and quickly fill entire days with predefined shift blocks. You access it in Schedules → Schedule management by clicking the Month tab; the arrows around the month (for example "July 2026") let you change the period.
What you see
Each row corresponds to an employee, with their name, their status (Shiftleader, Manager, student, etc.) and their hours counter (for example 38h/174h48: week hours / month hours). The columns represent the days of the month, with the number and abbreviation of the day.
In the cells, a shift is displayed either with its code (for example "T", "MA"), or with its hours (for example 0800-1700), depending on the display options. Shifts still in draft (unpublished) appear with a dotted blue border; absences are distinguished by their colour. On the right, three summary columns recap the month.
The display options
The toggle button located to the right of the tabs opens a menu of options specific to the Month view:
- Shifts: display (or hide) the shifts.
- Absences: display (or hide) the absences.
- Show start times: show the start time of each shift.
- Show hours: show the full hours (start and end) in each block rather than just the code.
These toggles let you lighten the display (a simple dot per day) or, on the contrary, detail everything (start and end hours in each cell).
The summary columns (on the right)
At the end of each row, three columns summarise the month for each employee:
- Scheduled hours: the total scheduled hours over the month.
- Leave balance: the leave balance (for example 51/30h).
- Clocking: the total clocked, if clocking is used.
Filling the schedule with shift blocks
This is the great strength of the Month view. At the bottom of the screen, a Shifts bar displays your predefined shift blocks as coloured chips (for example "9H-9-18", "APM-Aprem", "NT-Night"), with the instruction "Drag or click on the shifts".
Two ways to use them:
- Drag-and-drop: drag a block from the bar and drop it onto an employee's cell, at the desired date. The shift is created with the block's hours.
- Click: click a block to "pick it up", then click the desired cells to apply it in series, which is very fast for covering several days.
Creating a shift block
The + Add a new shift block button opens a "Create a new shift block" panel where you define:
- Name: the label of the block (mandatory), for example "Morning Bar".
- Short code: a code of 3 characters maximum (mandatory), displayed in the cell.
- Section: the section to attach to the block, if your account uses sections.
- Start and end times of the block.
- Paid break and unpaid break.
- Colour: the colour of the chip, to spot the block at a glance.
Once created, the block joins the bottom bar and becomes reusable at will.
The day headers
Under each date, two quick actions: the + creates a shift for that day, and the calendar icon opens the actions related to the day. This is handy for adding an occasional slot without going through the block bar.
Splitting the month by section
The monthly view can be organised by section: the employees are then grouped under each section (for example Drivers, Preparers, and "No section" for those without one). This presentation is set in Settings ⚙️ → Sections → Settings (monthly view display option by section). It is ideal for managing several distinct teams on the same screen.
Good to know
The Month view is made for the overview and quick block filling. To finely adjust the hours of a specific shift, its breaks or its tasks, open the shift or switch back to Week or Day view.
