When your team includes several sections, skills or dozens of employees, the schedule can become hard to read at a glance. Filters let you show only what interests you at a given moment. And saved views let you instantly find your favourite configurations.

Filter the schedule

Go to Schedules → Schedule management.

At the top left of the schedule, a search and filter bar is available. You can filter the displayed shifts by several criteria:

  • Section: show only the shifts of one section (bar, kitchen, dining room, and so on)
  • Skill: filter by the skill required on the shifts
  • Employee: search for a specific person
  • Status: published shifts, unpublished shifts, or both
  • Tag: filter by label
  • Type: normal shifts, absences, free shifts, and so on

Several filters can be combined to refine the display.

Note that the section filter only acts on what your role already lets you see:

  • An administrator sees all staff, even the sections they do not belong to: they can therefore filter on any section.
  • A schedule or HR manager only sees the employees who share the same sections as them: the filter then only sorts within that scope, and does not give access to the other sections.

Show the shifts of other sections as highlights

If you filter on one section, you can choose to show the shifts of the other sections as faint highlights. This lets you see whether some employees are already scheduled elsewhere, even while staying focused on your main section.

This option is enabled in Settings → Schedules → Settings, option Show the shifts of other sections as highlights.

Save a view

Once your filters are configured for a given work context (for example: Kitchen section, week view, Cook skills active), you can save this configuration as a named view to return to it in one click.

  1. Configure your filters in the schedule.
  2. Click the save view button (depending on your interface, it may be labelled Save the view or appear as an icon).
  3. Give your view a name.

The saved view then appears in your list of quick views. A single click reapplies all the corresponding filters.

Saved views are especially useful in large teams or multi-section businesses, where each section manager has their own display needs.
