Locking shifts
Freeze a validated schedule to prevent any accidental changes to confirmed slots.
Once a schedule is finalised and approved, leaving it freely editable is risky: one accidental drag-and-drop and the validated schedule is thrown off. Locking secures the shifts that are already confirmed. It is particularly useful at the end of the week, after validation, or before the export to your payroll office.
Locking via shift validation
The formal way to freeze a schedule is through the Shift validation module. It is the schedule or HR manager who validates past shifts: once validated, these shifts are locked and can no longer be modified. This is therefore not reserved to the administrator alone, but to the profile in charge of managing the schedule or HR.
This module must first be enabled: go to Settings ⚙️ → Schedules → Settings and enable the option Shift validation by the schedule or HR manager. A Shift validation submenu then appears in the Schedules menu, with a dedicated view to review shifts and lock them.
Effect of locking
A locked shift can no longer be moved, modified or deleted as long as it remains frozen. This guarantees that a validated schedule stays intact until the export or the closing of the period.
Unlocking
If a correction becomes necessary after locking, go back through the validation module to reopen the shifts concerned, make your correction, then re-lock them.
