Team resources
Manage the non-human resources (equipment, vehicles, rooms, etc.) that you schedule just like your employees.
What are resources for?
Beyond your employees, you may need to schedule other elements: equipment, vehicles, rooms, tools. In Shyfter, these elements are resources, organised into types (for example "Vehicles" or "Tools"). The Resources page displays the list of the elements of a resource type and lets you view, filter and export them.
Each resource type relies on the attributes you have defined in Settings ⚙️ → Attributes. That is where you create the resource types and their custom fields. Without configured attributes, this page stays empty.
Go to Team → Resources, then select the desired resource type.
The list
The table displays each resource with:
- Name: the label of the element, accompanied by its thumbnail if it has an image.
- Code type: displayed only for tool-type resources.
- Custom fields: as many additional columns as you have defined fields for this resource type (serial number, capacity, location, etc.).
Each column is sortable, and clicking a row opens the resource's profile to view or edit it.
The actions
At the top of the page:
- Search: filters the list by searching across all the text fields.
- Add: creates a new element in this resource type.
- Export: downloads the list in XLS or PDF format.
Resources are then scheduled in the schedule like your employees. To change the structure of a resource type (add a field, rename), go through Settings ⚙️ → Attributes.
